Process of Cardboard Chair, Project 2
After reading about the basic structural principles, i was disappointed i had not overlooked this before i started constructing my chair. Some of the mistakes i made were not thinking about my support and how the cardboard folds with the grain and against the grain. I think i need to improve on my middle support structure and pay close attention to the difference between stress and tension and how the two can work together to make a very stable chair. I also think i need to pay attention to the distribution of weight throughout the whole chair so that there is not a weak spot or a more sturdy spot in different areas. For my next prototype i think i want to make more of a bench structure that can sit two people. Here is some of my Process
